And So it Begins

August 1st, 2014.  We signed the lease and got the keys to the place that would become the future home of The Pizza Cart.
It was a frozen yogurt shop on one side and a fish aquarium shop on the other. We had a lot of work to do...

Demolitions begins.  The moment all the kids had been waiting for.  Time to break mirrors and tile and knock down walls.
Never mind that the ax looks dangerously close to Weston's head.

Oops.  Cut through the wall a little too far.  This is Tropical Smoothie, our neighbor.

With the help of some friends, we had the walls torn down and everything opened up within a few days.  We had to completely remove the bathroom from the yogurt side so that we could have two bathrooms on the other side.  State law requires 2 bathrooms if you have seating for more than 10. We learned much about laws and regulations in the process and I often marveled that anyone is in business at all, with so many hoops to jump through.

The walls for the other bathroom starting to go up.

I'm pretty sure I know what was going through my mind right here. So much to do. SO much to do...
