Updates

I haven't had much time to blog lately, so I wanted to do a few quick updates.

Weston: 2 1/2 months old, and I've already pretty much ruined him. He's spoiled rotten. He gets held every minute of the day (which is why I haven't had any time to blog). He's in for a rude awakening when we get back home (yes, I'm vacationing at my Mom's again. I guess I wasn't very good at facing reality).
Does this picture look just like Spencer or what?

Benjamin: The kid makes me crazy. I could stop right there, but I guess that wouldn't be fair. He's almost as much fun as he is trouble. He's got his own system of communication. He doesn't speak much, but he's got ways of letting us know what he wants. He used to point at something or make some kind of hand gesture to let me know what he wants, then when I guessed right, he'd throw his hand into the air and smile(see picture below). Lately though, he just comes to me and throws his hand into the air, smiles, and looks real hopeful. He must be an optimist. He figures that I already know exactly what he wants and that I've answered "yes".

I learned something from him yesterday. Don't ever let him near the phone again. Why? We had a fun little visit from the police after he dialed 911. Just what are the chances of that? Apparently, not as slim as I thought.

Regan and Spencer: As I mentioned before, I'm at my Mom's again, so of course they've been having the time of their lives. First, my Mom took them to Lagoon (pictures below). It was their first time. They loved it. Indy, I mean Spencer, was a bit afraid of some of the rides, but ended up finding several rides that made him feel brave.
Yesterday, we went to Classic Water slides and had a great time. My Mom watched the baby while we went. Spencer didn't want to have anything to do with the water slides for quite a while. I finally convinced him to go down with me. I had to spend the rest of the time going down slides with him. On the very last run, he decided to be brave and go by himself. I haven't done something like that in years. It was a lot of fun.
Tonight they're at the rodeo with my brother. Tomorrow they'll be headed to my brother's cabin for the weekend.
I think they may also be in for a rude awakening when they have to go home and pull weeds in the garden for the rest of the summer.

Diamond update: The claim for my diamond was denied (from my "diamond in the rough" posting). Oh well. I guess I'll look into the cost of cubic zirconium. I'm not too worried about it.

Indiana...The Saga Continues

This afternoon, Spencer got a little scrape on his side. He ran in the house to show it off.
"Does it look cool?"
"Um...Yeah sure." At least he wasn't screaming.
Fast forward to this evening. Spencer is now screaming. Apparently his scratch looked so cool, he decided to make more. He took a pin and scratched some lines across his chest so that he would look just like Indiana after being whipped by the bad guys. That part wasn't so bad. He was tough. The trouble started when he went outside to put on his "shirt" he had made out of leaves.
Now the scratches did hurt. After a good amount of crying and a hot shower, Indiana has recovered and the scratches look cool once again.
I find myself wondering..... should I be worried?
